About Shapiro Enterprises

For more than 50 years, the Shapiro family distributed beer, wine, nonalcoholic beverages, and distilled spirits in Massachusetts. With the passage of the mandatory deposit law (bottle bill) we created a company to process empty beverage containers. As an ancillary business Repak was started which specialized in destroying expired, outdated, unsaleable beverage containers containing liquid, often referred to as full beverage containers. These companies were sold, and Skip went on to become a National Sales Manager of Recycle America a division of Waste Management Inc., the largest waste company in North America and a Regional Manager of Parallel Products.

With a passion to find beneficial reuses for beverage and food waste, Skip Shapiro Enterprises LLC was formed in 2007.
